Hi I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to play up your eyes with less makeup. Here are three easy steps to create a no-makeup makeup look. We're going to use a little shimmering shadow, a quick little eyeliner that's smudged in and some mascara. The liner that I'm going to use is Le Crayon Khol by Lancome in Black Ebony but I'm going to begin with the shimmer shadow on the lid. Okay so I'm using this light shimmer and then I'm going to put this on the lid. I'm not going to extend it up beyond the lid, that way it will be the most subtle shimmer and then you want to blend it out too, notice how I'm blending this, because otherwise it's a little overpowering. I'm blending it up to the eyelid, just sweeping the brush back and forth. This is a beautiful shade that compliments her skin tone too this gold brings out the gold in her skin and it's a perfect choice for a nice subtle shimmery eye or a more statement shimmery eye like we're doing, a little bit more of a statement right now. So the next step is eyeliner. We're going to take the eyeliner pencil and a little blending brush. I'm going to pull her eye just a little bit with my finger, a little taut, get this liner right at the base of the lashes. That's going to give us the most natural look. It gives great definition but it also is subtle, focusing a little bit at the outer edges for extra definition. It's a really fast way to make a lot of impact actually. So I'm using a black right now but if you are a blond or maybe a redhead and you want something a little more subtle, use a cafe, use something lighter in a taupe perhaps depending on what kind of effect you really want but definitely go with a lighter color if you want a more natural look and you're a more fair skin tone. That's beautiful. Then I'm going to finish with mascara to get great impact with one coat. I like to just use this volumizing mascara that builds on fullness in one coat. You can see the difference already how that just pops the eye, great mascara will do that for you and you've got instant impact. You know one final tip that still adds drama and that's simple to use is if you line the inside of your eye with a black liner, that on the upper inside eye helps give some definition and it's a great little tip. So as you can see, I've finished off her eye, very little makeup but that mascara really brought out her eyes. There you go, that's how to play up your eyes with less makeup. I'm Kendra Richards. Thanks for watching.
