- Hi, I'm Jhizet Panosian, celebrity makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to pick the perfect nude look lipstick for pale skin. In picking a nude lipstick, you want to think of two things. Color, whether you want it to be a pinkier nude or a peachier nude, warmer undertoned, and texture. Whether you want it to be a matte nude lipstick or if you want it to be shinier. There really isn't a universal nude lip that looks good on everyone because we're so diverse in our skin tone. I'm more of an olive color and I usually tend to go with more caramels and warmer tones. Katie here is a little bit more fair than I am so on her a lighter peach would look really, really nice. So let me demonstrate that look by using a really nice peachy tone and I'm going to use infallible lipstick by L'Oreal. As you can see, Katie already has a little bit of pink shade to her lip and to really get a nude lip you can actually cover that up with a little bit of foundation or concealer. I'm just going to use a little bit of foundation and really take away some of that color. You can use your fingertip, you can use a sponge, you can use a brush. All you're really trying to do is neutralize a little bit of that pink. And you want to start with the center of the mouth and just at the bow of the lip. If you're going for a really full lip you can also line the lip with a nude lip liner and then top it off with a lipstick. I'm just going for a really nice subtle look with Katie and she already really nice full lips so we don't really need to line hers. Another thing to remember is texture. If you really want a matte lip you can always finish this look by placing a little bit of a mattifier or a little bit of a powder to set it. But for Katie today I'm actually going to finish it with a nice shimmer and use a very nice peachy gloss lipstick. So I'm just going to finish with applying a little bit of gloss at the center of her lip. A nude lip can actually be the perfect companion if you're already featuring another feature on your face like a really bold eye. As you can see by applying the lip gloss, it just brought a little bit more shine to the face and really polished the entire look.
