- Hi my name is Taylor Babian and I'm a celebrity makeup artist and today I'm going to show you how to get the perfect eyebrow arch. So eyebrows are essential because they actually can add lift to the eyes and they also frame the face. So to create the perfect arch you can use a powder but today I'm going to use a pencil and we're going to use the L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist. So when you're applying the actual product you want to fill in basically where there's not as much color in the brow. So she actually has a lot of hairs right up in here. We're just going to extend that brow just a little bit as well as on the top of the brow and what that does is that actually creates fullness without looking too dark and then we're also avoiding that inner corner area. When you actually put too much color in the inner corner of the brow it actually makes the eyes look kind of angry and then we're just going to brush it out and you can brush it out just using a little spoolie brush and you're going to be brushing up and then you want to smooth it out. So when you're creating the line to the end of the eye, when you're extending that brow, how far do you go? That's the big question. So what you want to do is you basically create a line using a brush from the outside of the nose to the outside of the eye and basically connect at the end and wherever that ends is where you want the brow to end. If for some reason after you do a smoky eye and your eye line actually extends farther, then you can actually extend the brow a little bit farther but for a natural eye, that's where you want to stop is right at the end. So we've finished our perfect arch and you can see the difference between the two eyes and our finished eye looks a lot more polished. It still looks natural but it looks just nice and clean and perfected. So now I'm matching our first eyebrow, again, filling the top of the brow and applying to the top of the brow is actually what creates the lift as opposed to going in under the brow. So I'm focusing the color more on the top of the brow and the reason being is she actually has more space above her brows than below her brows and this creates a little bit more balance. I love all kinds of brows. I think it all depends on the shape of your face. Really consider your face when you're choosing your eyebrow, whether you want a thin arch or a thicker arch. So if you have a fuller forehead you definitely want a little bit more fullness in the brow. You want to avoid going too close to the eyes or the lash line if you have not much space between the brow and the lashes. So you don't want to do too much in here because it will just make that eye shadow space a lot smaller and then this actually evens it out and gives it a lot more balance in the face. Okay, so we've finished our perfect arch and you can see it creates nice symmetry to her face. She looks nice and polished and finished. There you go. That's how you get the perfect eyebrow arch.
