- Hi I'm beauty expert, Tracy O'Connor and today I'm going to show you how to get oil free skin naturally. So when I was younger I had oily skin and I would try to overcompensate by washing my skin multiple times a day even using alcohol as a toner and all of those things although they seemed like the right thing to do were absolutely incorrect. The best way to get oil free skin naturally is by creating a really balanced complexion. So we want to cleanse the skin, tone the skin, moisturize the skin but choose the proper products that are going to create that proper pH balance and the right level of nourishment and oil in our skin and I'm going to use the Ultra Facial Oil Free Lotion by Kiehl's. I'm just going to put about, a little less than a dime size amount onto my fingertip. This is a really lightweight lotion which I love for oil free skin and it has continuous hydration so it's going to hydrate the skin all day long, deliver water into the skin cells without creating an oil slick. I think so many of us with oily skin are afraid to use a moisturizer and that's, I understand that but it's incorrect, you need hydration. Maybe you have enough oil in your skin but what we're trying to do is also deliver water into the skin cell. Healthy skin is hydrated skin. So I'm just working the product into Julia's skin and I can see this goes right into her skin even though she has a little bit of T zone oiliness here, it's going right into the skin. You know all products are not equal and this is, a highly effective product with highly effective ingredients. The formulation contains a trio of super hydrating ingredients that are proven effective. It has vitamin E known for centuries to naturally hydrate the skin. It also has antarctasene which is a glacial protein, creates a healthy barrier between your skin and the environment, in addition to hydrating the skin and creating 24 hour moisture and hydration for your complexion. The third ingredient is cylindrica root extract derived from a desert plant. It has the ability to highly protect the skin from the elements. It helps to bind moisture into the skin throughout the entire day. Another great ingredient to look for if you have oily skin is vitamin A. Vitamin A will help to break apart congestion that's in the pores and additionally it will help to pull apart some of the dead skin cells that are laying on the surface of the skin that trap the oil and can cause breakouts. One final tip, if you do have oily skin it's also good to look for an oil free foundation or mineral makeup. It is a good idea to bring around blotting papers as opposed to sort of powdering your skin throughout the day, that also will help to minimize the oil, if you just use a little blotting paper throughout the day here on your T zone. And there you go, that is how to have oil free skin naturally. I'm Tracy O'Connor. Thanks for watching.
