- Hi, I'm Carla Kay, Celebrity Manicurist. Today, I'm going to show you nail colors for shorter nails. So, for shorter nails, I love the classic red. I love a beige; you can never go wrong with a beige nails. But, for Elena, I'm choosing Bahama Mama by Essie. I love vamp colors whether it's on a plump tone or a darker red, looks beautiful on short nails. The Essie brush is really great because it's not thick, it's just the right length for me and you can actually get really great detail with this brush. Sometimes if the stick is a little long, it takes longer strokes and it's a little harder to get such a nice beautiful even plow. So, you want to make sure the brush is not real thick. If you have short nails to avoid getting it on the finger tip, you're just going to kind of want to, just stop right above the edge and then, you can always kind of do the trick like capping off the edge. And if you do happen to get it on your skin, don't worry, there's easy ways to get it off. Just grab an orange wood stick and a little bit of cotton and remover and then just go over the edge to wipe off this, if any of the polish has actually gotten on the skin. So, nail color really is a personal choice. I actually change my polish sometimes every other day, just depends on what I'm wearing, how I'm feeling. I always say you can never go wrong with the classic red or beautiful beige. I don't think there's any colors that you should avoid if you have short nails. I actually love almost all colors on short nails. I actually prefer short nails over a longer nail. I love this color, it's like a plummy kind of vamp color and this looks so great on shorter nails. And there's a nail polish color that looks good on shorter nails. I'm Carla Kay, thanks for watching.
