- Hi I'm beauty expert Tracy O'Connor and today I'm going to show you how to moisturize your face and skin. Daily moisturization is very important to the health and welfare of your skin. Well hydrated skin is protected from the elements. Well hydrated skin will remain healthy and ageless over time so it's important to find the right moisturizer for your face, neck and chest and your body. So we're going to start by using the Ultra Facial Cream by Kiehl's. I'm just going to take a tiny amount, just about the size of a dime on my ring finger and apply. Now when applying a facial moisturizer you want to look for a face cream that's right for your skin type. If you have oily skin you want to choose something that's oil free, if you have very dry skin you want to choose something that is very rich in emollients. So this product contains glycoproteins which are derived from microorganisms within glaciers and what they do is they not only protect the skin from environmental elements proven to protect against the cold but they also help to retain moisture throughout the entire day. Another unique ingredient this product possesses is the Imperata Cylindrica which is an Australian desert plant known to have superb water retention properties. So that's fantastic if you have any kind of dryness throughout the day. It's going to alleviate that, make sure that you have hydrated radiant skin over the course of the entire day. I suggest using your facial cream on your neck and chest. Your neck and chest tend to be more sensitive and reactive so it's a good idea to use the facial cream on these areas because they're designed for more sensitivity. A body cream frequently will have fragrances or things that could be more irritating to the face. When it comes to choosing the proper body cream, I think you should look for something that readily absorbs into the skin. you don't want something that leaves any kind of a residual layer. You want something that lasts throughout the day. I think that a great body cream usually contains shea butter, also ingredients such as hyaluronic acid are fantastic to have a swell. One final tip, don't wipe the water off of your skin right after you get out of the shower or wash your face. I think it's really important to allow that water to absorb right into the skin before you apply a moisturizer and your moisturizer will be more effective if you do that. There you go, that is how to moisturize your face and skin. I'm Tracy O'Connor. Thanks for watching.
