Hello, I'm Spencer Barnes, celebrity makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to match your shade. When looking for the right shade of foundation, the thing to start with is looking at the undertones of the skin. That way you're sure to get the right balance of color that blends naturally and seamlessly with your own skin. Kendall has a medium deep skin tone and you'll notice that there's fair amount of a golden olive undertone, a little bit of that warm ground tone coming true, so we want to make sure that the foundation is not too pink or too gray, ashy, you want to make sure it has a rich undertone that really complements and flatters her golden undertones. So on Kendall I'm going to use the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. For Kendall's skin tone I'm gonna use a foundation that will look first on the jaw line. I'm going to apply just a little bit to see how the color blends with her skin tones and it looks like this is a very good match. You would notice if you blend it, if it looks a little bit off that is probably not a good shade. A good shade will blend seamlessly into the skin tone giving you a radiant, flawless finish. So I'll apply a little bit of foundation to the center of her face and then we're going to blend and smooth outward. I'll use a foundation brush you might use your fingers or a sponge at home. But whatever gives you the ability to screw the makeup seamlessly into the skin will be the perfect tool for you. For everyday foundation, you might not need a heavy coverage, so depending on where you're going you can use the blend that gives you the perfect finish. If you have an event or you're going to be photographed maybe it'll go for a little fuller coverage, just make sure you blend out and you look in the mirror and make sure it looks even and balanced and different types of late. Here's a little tip. When you're finished with your foundation, you may want to give yourself a light veil of finished powder, maybe fresh or loose. This will ensure your makeup stays in place and then you can add a little face and then you can add a little bronzer for color. And that it how to match out our shade. I'm Spencer Barnes, and thank you for watching.
