- Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist. And I'm going to show you how to make dark circles under the eyes look less noticeable. Three things to remember are the texture of the concealer, the shade, and then the placement on the face. So I'm going to begin by using Maquicomplet Correcteur by Lancome. And this shade has a neutralizing quality to it. It's already got the neutralizer in it for the redness and the blue that you get under the eyes. That's a really critical part of covering under eye circles and darkness. Also this is a texture that's light. It won't get in the creases under the eyes but you only want to place this where you need it. So I'm just going to tap this into place with the brush to get a very targeted area. You use a little brush that's small enough to get into those targeted areas. You can get product only where you need it. And that's, that's a very important step. You don't want to over apply a correcter, a color correcter like this. But I'm also going to get up under the lash line where you see a little bit of that redness. And this liquid formulation is so lightweight it won't settle into the creases and it won't exaggerate the lines under the eyes which is so important. I'm going to use just a touch on the outer edge of her eye but again only where you need it, right up at that lash line. Okay, there you go. You can see the eye that I've done and the eye that hasn't been done yet. This is a color correcter. It's meant to really diminish the redness and the blueness under the eyes. Some people will find that this is enough. You don't need a concealer on top of it. If you have very stubborn under eye darkness you will then need to go in again with a concealer that is meant to conceal and it's a little bit more opaque. That will then be the second step. So you can see I've finished bot of Ingrid's eyes. Now she had had some redness and some blueness in the inner corners of her eyes. And a little bit of redness right up at the lash line under her eyes. This has completely neutralized it. She looks fresh and ready to go. And one final tip, if you find that your concealer doesn't stay put under your eyes you can use a waterproof formulation that will help really stay all day. And that's how to make dark circles under the eyes less noticeable. I'm Kendra Richards thanks for watching.
