Hi I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today I'm going to give you a few makeup tips for acne prone skin. If your skin is prone to acne, it's important to remember a few steps. You should always exfoliate, either in the morning or the evening. This ensures against further breakouts. Also before applying foundation, use a really good primer, something that's matifying and oil free and then thirdly, when you're choosing a foundation, make sure you choose something that is oil free. So I'm choosing an oil free foundation. Today I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris True Match Oil-Free Foundation. So we've chosen a shade that is perfect for Taylor's skin color. I'm just going to apply a little bit of a liquid foundation with a sponge. Using a sponge just helps to keep some of the product off your skin, so especially with oily skin you really don't want to overload the product. So when you have acne prone skin, it's not just the spots that you need to conceal, it's sometimes the scarring or dark marks. I've already gone ahead and concealed those areas on Taylor's face just with a bit of high pigmented concealer and then I'm just going to apply the liquid foundation over the top. And then just look up, we've also taken a little bit of the concealer under her eyes too. She just had a few dark circles and take it all along the jawbone and then down to the neck. And because this is an oil free foundation, it's helping to even out all of her skin tone so it's closing any pores. It's filling any little fine lines and it's just creating a really nice fresh glowing skin. So with acne prone skin, it's important when using liquid foundation not to create a mask. Your skin needs to breathe, otherwise, you'll get further breakouts. So just really use it on the areas that you need to. So there you go, a few tips for makeup on acne prone skin. I'm Tara Shakespeare. Thanks for watching.
