- Hi I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you a couple of makeup ideas for blonds with blue eyes. What I'd like to do today is keep the focus on the eye and the way I'm going to do that is by keeping a neutral palette on Kathryn's eye. You can see she's got a beautiful neutral eye that I'm going to pair with a peachy natural lip color that's very soft and it's going to keep the focus on her eyes. So I'm going to start by using the L'Absolu Nu by Lancome in coral sand. I'm going to use this on a lip brush. You can use it straight from the tube whatever you're comfortable with. I like the precision that it gives me when I use a lip brush. This has got a beautiful sheer wash of color and it's got a dewy soft finish. This is not a matte lipstick. It keeps it very fresh. This is a great way to play up your eyes and keep the focus on your eyes by not using a strong color on the mouth. This is a very polished look because it's a neutral eye, a strong enough cheek and then a neutral lip. If it was a stronger lip, it would be a much more lip focused look. I selected this peachy color because of the way it compliments the blue in her eyes. If I used a bluer based lipstick color, it would be more of a conflict with her eyes. This takes the focus from her mouth and keeps it on her eyes but still keeps it as a polished look. A peachy lipstick like this is the perfect compliment to her blue eyes. It makes the blue in her eyes pop more. There you go the look is complete. You can see on Kathryn that beautiful taupe shadow that plays up her eye color and then that perfect peach mouth that helps keep that focus on her eye and it makes the blue in her eyes even brighter.
