Hi. I'm Jhizet Panosian, celebrity makeup artist. And today, I'm going to give you some makeup tips on how to make small hooded eyes look larger. You want to focus on two important things, color and placement. You want to go lighter in your choice of colors because that's going to make your eyes look brighter and bigger. And where you place the makeup is going to be key on where it cuts off the application. To achieve this look on Ingrid today, I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Hip Eyeshadow Duos. This is perfect for the look I'm trying to achieve with her because it has a light shade that I'm going to use on her inner corners to brighten up her eye, and I'm going to save the darker color for the outer corners of the eye. You want to stay away from darker colors in general, and bringing them in to the entire lid, because that's really going to close up your eye and make your eyes appear smaller. So, I'm going to start with the lighter color, using a small fluffy eyeshadow brush, and I'm going to place this color all over her lids. And I'm using this color with a hint of shimmer, because that shimmer is actually going to catch the light and create the illusion that your eyes are actually bigger and brighter. As you can see, I took that light shimmery color all the way up to the brow bone, just creating the illusion that her lid is actually larger than it is. Next, I'm just going to line her outer corners with a dark purple color, close. And take your purple color because I think purple is a great color and really enhances green eyes. As you can see I've just lined her top lash a little less than half way. You don't want to go all the way in to the inner corners because that's just going to close up your eye more. Since Ingrid has a hooded eye, she has a little heavier of a lid. So, I'm going to create the illusion that her eye crease is actually higher than it is. Close your eyes. Now, I've taken a darker purple color and I'm just going to create this crease above what I normally would. Because when she opens her eye, it's going to be a little higher. Open. It's a little higher than you normally would because her crease is in there. But you want to go higher than your crease, giving the illusion that your eye is lifted in there. And again, you don't want to go, you don't want to take this line in too far, because that's again just going to close up your eye. You want to just, say that, just about half way in. And you can use your ring finger to blend. Now that I've finished blending out the darker purple shade, I went in and brought it in to the bottom lash as well. Look up. But again, you don't want to bring it in all the way because that's just going to close out your eye. You just want to bring it in maybe about half, and make sure you smudge it out. And that gives it a lifted effect. Next, I'm going to bring in a very light shimmery color, look up, and place it at the corner of her eyelid and the inner corners, both on the top and the bottom. And that's going to give the illusion of an extension of the whites in her eyes. Another quick little tip is to use a whit eyeliner on the inner lash line. And that's going to give the illusion that the whites of your eyes are actually bigger than they are. Look up. You can use a white eyeliner or a flesh tone eyeliner to achieve this look. And all you're doing is extending the whites of your eyes. You never want to apply dark or black eyeliner to the inner line, because that's just going to close up your eye. And lastly I just want to give her a lengthening mascara to really lift that eyelid and create the illusion that she has really big eyes. And there you go. That's how to make a hooded eye appear larger. I'm Jhizet Panosian and thanks for watching.
