- Hi, I'm Kendra Richards a professional makeup artist and today I'm going to show you how to preserve your makeup in the heat. Everybody wants to know how to keep their makeup fresh in the heat and I want to show you a really simple easy way to take care of that. That's Dual Finish and it couldn't be simpler. So to get started I'm going to use Lancome Dual Finish in Matte Duree. So because Javiana's got a little bit of foundation I'm going to show her you can use this great product, Dual Finish is fantastic to help maintain your makeup throughout a hot day and keep your perspiration really at bay and as you can see I'm just tapping this in real lightly, another great technique to make sure that you're not pulling the makeup that you're putting on back off is to roll at the wrist. You see this action that I'm doing, this is how you want to roll it across the face. Dual finish is really a fantastic way to make sure that throughout the day your foundation stays fresh. It's also wonderful to use for more coverage if you like wet to dry, you can use a wet sponge if you weren't wearing foundation and you could use it just in the areas that you really wanted extra coverage and then lightly go over some of the spots, the areas that you would like lighter coverage with a sponge like I'm doing or for really light coverage you could use a brush, it's very natural looking but it still gives you that little bit of coverage and oil control. So I'm focusing the application right now on the center of her face because this is generally the oiliest part of the face throughout the day. If you needed to do touch-ups this is where you would do it. This is an incredibly versatile product, Dual Finish is of course a foundation and a powder all in one so you can use it overall on the face or you can use it just specifically focused on the T-zone like I'm doing right here. Something that I love about Dual Finish too is the flexibility and how great this is whether the weather is humid or you're perspiring or even if it's dry. This is very flexible, it is durable throughout the day and keeps you looking fresh and really requires very little touch-up and if you did need a touch-up, what's fantastic I like to just keep this is in my purse, you can do quick touch-ups like this and then you're good to go in moments. This is a great way to finish off your makeup and still have that velvety smooth finish, nobody wants to over powder or look dry and even in the heat this has a velvety beautiful finish that's just unbeatable.
