- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to teach you how to give yourself full, thick lashes. There's no better way to enhance the beauty of your eyes than framing them with full, thick lashes. I just love them, they always look beautiful, even if you're not wearing any other makeup, full thick lashes will really make you look done and pulled together. So today on Liz, I'm going to be using Maybelline lots of lashes mascara in blackest black. We're just going to dip our brush into the mascara, but first I just want to talk about this brush a little bit, because it's tapered, it almost looks like a little dart. But when you're doing your mascara, this finer point to the end is really going to help get in and get all the little baby lashes that are so hard to reach with a thicker brush. So this brush is really awesome. And then it get a little bit thicker towards the end for your longer lashes. And there's just tiny little spikes along this brush, and it's three dimensional, so it's really going to grab every single lash and make them full and thick. So the first thing I'm going to do with Liz is curl her lashes. So just turn to me. So curling your lashes is just going to really open up the eyes even more. So just look down a little bit. And I'm just going to hold for a few seconds. Just press and hold. It just really opens up the eyes. Let's see the other side. And as women get older, their lashes actually start to straighten out, so this is a good tool to have on hand, you know, as we age. OK so now turn to me. And just look down a little. So I'm just going to start just right in the corner. And I'm going to wiggle the brush at the base of the lashes and then sweep it up. So up and out towards the end. Wiggle at the base and just comb the lashes through up and out. If you want to make your eyes look more kind of cat like and sleek, you can actually fan your lashes out but if you want to look more awake and have more of a rounder appearance to your eyes, you can just bring them out up and straight instead of fanning them over to the side. Now just look up. And then we're just going to do one coat on the bottom. And this brush gets every little lash. And because the bristles are so close together, it's going to really help prevent any clumping. If your lashes do ever clump together with the mascara, it's really easy, you just take a tissue and wipe off the extra product, and just comb the brush through your lashes. So all I needed to make Liz's eyes really look amazing and have full, thick lashes, was a coat of mascara, but you could always use two. Just be careful because the brush does put so much product on the lashes it will work so well, so you don't want to look too overdone. So there you have it. It's that easy to get full, beautiful, thick lashes. Thanks for watching, I'm Hilda Levierge.
