- Hi, I'm Amy Hollier, and I'm a celebrity makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to make your face look really natural with a little makeup. So, to create a really fresh natural makeup look you want to start by cleansing and moisturizing your skin and then you can go on to your foundations. So for Joanna's makeup, I'm going to use some Maybelline Fit Me Foundation because it has a really beautiful finish that looks natural on your skin and is buildable. I'm going to start by taking some of it and just pouring right into my hand. Now there's a lot of different ways you can apply foundation that's a liquid but I like to put it in my hand so that I can use a brush to really work it into the skin. This type of a brush is a synthetic bristle and it's sort of rounded which means you can really buff it into the skin and take away any lines or streaks. You can also use a sponge and that also gives the same sort of finish if you don't have this type of brush at home. See how it's just very natural. You can's see any fingerprints and it allows you to just blend it right down the neck. You always want to make sure that when you're doing your foundation that your face does match your neck and decolette area. You want to just do the other side. So now that I've finished her foundation the next step is to conceal. First I'm going to go in with a concealer that matches her foundation. So I'm going to take a little brush and just apply it on any areas that need a little extra coverage. So if you have any freckles, blemishes, any redness, normally around the nose or chin area can be a little more red so you can just go in and add a little more concealer to those areas. Now that her skin is nice and even I'm going to go in with a little bit of a cream blush just to give her a healthy glow. I like to use my fingers just to tap it right into that cheek area. If you're not sure where to start with cream blush, you can just mile and go right for the apples of the cheeks and then just buff the edges out with your clean finger. So you can see now with that little hint of blush it gives her a really healthy glow. Now I'm going to take a little bit of translucent powder just to take down the shine and make sure that she still has a healthy glow but not too shiny. I like to use a translucent powder instead of a powder that has color to it because it doesn't add any extra foundation to the skin. This just absorbs excess oil and gives it a nice matte finish. Now that her skin has a gorgeous natural glow I'm going to go ahead and do her eyebrows and lashes. Now it looks like her eyebrows could use a little penciling in so I'm going to just grab a nice neutral brownish pencil and lightly fill them in just to give them a little fullness but not too harsh of a line. Do you see how it's just very subtle, very natural? After filling in the brows I like to use a little clear mascara just to finish them off and fit them into place. You can also use clear mascara on your eyelashes if they're very dark like Joanna's or if they're blond I would recommend using maybe a brown or a little bit of black mascara. So to finish off Joanna's natural makeup look I'm going to add a little clear lip balm right to the middle of the bottom lip and the top lip just to give her lips a little extra shine. And here we have her finished look, a no makeup natural look with makeup. I'm Amy Hollier and thanks for watching.
