Hi. I'm beauty expert Tracy O'Connor and today I'm going to show you how to make dry skin moist. How do you know if you have dry skin? frequently dry skin is characterized by maybe you might have a little bit of red patches on the skin or your skin looks a little bit dull and dehydrated. Sometimes if you have very dry skin, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is more apparent. And also a lot of times with dry skin, we tend to notice just a general kind of lifelessness and a lack of radiance. So, what's most important is getting hydration and moisturization in to your skin so that you can have that healthy, radiant dewy glow. I'm going to go ahead and use the Ultra Facial Cream by Kiehl's. And you don't need a really heavy weight moisturizer just because you have dry skin. What you want to look for is a highly effective formulation with highly effective ingredients. I'm just going to take a little bit of product, just about a little under a dime size amount. This product has a formulation of ingredients with incredibly high efficacy. Squalane, which is a healing botanical lipid, derived from the olive plant, delivers hydration to the skin throughout the entire day. So, that's continuous moisturization. A lot of us with dry skin, even though we moisturize in the morning, we find by mid day or early afternoon, our skin is already showing signs of dehydration. The little fine lines under our eyes maybe even the lip line, this is the area that tends to show dehydration first. I also love the ingredient, glycerin. It's so natural and highly effective as an emollient that attracts the water that's in the air and delivers it in to the skin cells. A couple of extra tips. I definitely suggest sleeping with a humidifier if you have very dry skin. I think that's key, especially during the winter season, maybe when you have the heater on or during the summer when you have the AC on. A humidifier is great. You'll definitely notice the difference. Also consider if you have dry skin, using an oil based cleanser. A lot of us feel like we have to get our skin really clean and use a foaming cleanser. But that's not the case. An oil based cleanser or a gel based cleanser is probably the best choice for dry skin. And one final tip. Keep in mind, a lot of what we put in to our body can dehydrate our skin. If you're drinking sodas or caffeinated beverages, those are known to dehydrate our bodies and that's definitely going to show up in your skin. So, choose your beverages properly. Drink lots of water. Also, healthy juices are fantastic for hydrating the skin. So, there we go. That's how to make dry skin moist. I'm Tracy O'Connor. Thanks for watching.
