Hi, I'm Jeremy Clark, professional hairstylist and salon owner, and I'm going to give you some tips on how to maintain your hair during exercise. So if you're going to put your hair in a ponytail it's important to use an elastic that has cloth around it versus a rubber elastic. The rubber elastics will stretch and tear your hair. You always want to use a wide tooth vented brush and an Anti-humidity hairspray. I'm going to use the Garnier Fructis Flexible Control Anti-humidity Hairspray. So I'm using a flexible hairspray so that the hair stays brushable and that it still moves. You don't want to have helmet hair while you're exercising so you want the hair to just be soft and kind of pulled back. I'm going to put Sarah's hair in a somewhat high ponytail. This helps keep it off the back of your neck and out of the way. If you find that some of your hair in front is too short to fit into the ponytail, you can always take a bobby pin and just pin those pieces back. Once you have the ponytail placed where you want it, you're going to expand the rubber band and just slightly drag it across the top and catch any of those extra hairs and go ahead and secure the ponytail. Now the trick is you don't want it to be too tight because you don't want it to damage the hair. Again be sure you're using a cloth elastic and just remember if you have any stray pieces that fall out you can just take a small bobby pin and just pin those up and that will really help keep the hair back and out of your face. And once everything is set in place, you just want to spray a little bit lightly over the top. Again you don't want to make it so stiff that it's like helmet head. You just want to spray a little bit and that will really help protect your hair from frizz and help keep the humidity away and it will help keep your hairstyle back. There you go, that's how to maintain your hair during exercise. I'm Jeremy Clark. Thanks for watching.
