- Hi I'm Spencer Barnes, celebrity makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to keep your lipstick from smearing. If you have a busy day or maybe an event that you're going to and you don't have time to touch up your lips or you want it to stay without smearing or maybe you're even drinking or eating, the last thing you want to have to do is worry about lipstick reapplication. I'm going to show you how to achieve this using Maybelline Superstay 24 Color in Continuous Coral. This is a two step product. It's very easy to use. You start by using the color applicator side, apply the color to the lip. So we'll start this way and you want to make sure you put it on a dry clean lip okay? That will make sure that it stays on beautifully all day and you want a smooth even application so we'll start with this beautiful shade called continuous coral. This velvety tip makes it very easy to smooth the product and get a very precise application. Once you've achieved an even application, allow the lip product to dry for just a moment, maybe a minute, 30 seconds and then you will use the other end which has the second step which is the top coat. It seals in the color and gives you some moisture and shine as well so that it's comfortable to wear all day. Here's a little trick when using this product. You want to avoid mashing your lips together like that to blend the product. Instead use the applicator to get a beautiful even application and then let the product dry down. The reason for that is the second step has a sealer that locks the product into place but also gives you hydration and moisture. So that's the way to use this product. It's a little different than maybe a lipstick or a balm that you've used in the past. But that's the beauty of the product. This topcoat keeps it in place for up to 24 hours giving you even long lasting lip color that won't smudge or transfer. And there you have it, that is how to keep your lipstick from smearing. I'm Spencer Barnes and thank you for watching.
