Hi I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist, and today I'd like to show you how to keep eye shadow from creasing. The key is in the way you prep the lid. I'm going to use Aquatique Waterproof Eye Shadow base by Lancome and the key to this is just to warm it a touch with your finger so you just rub it onto the product and then onto the back of your finger so that it's pliable, perfect and then you tap it onto the eyelid. This sets the perfect canvas for your eye shadow and it really is waterproof. You can go in the water, your makeup will stay put. This is also a perfect solution if you have oily skin or your eyelids tend to get a little oily throughout the day and your eye shadow starts to run or smear, this will keep it in place. I'm just tapping it like that. It also evens out the skin tone on the eye. This way eye shadow will be a truer color as well as last longer throughout the day. Next step I'm going to apply shadow right to the lid. I get that shadow on my brush and brush off the excess onto the back of my hand before I apply it and then sweep it right across. This is a perfect daytime or evening look and if you're applying it in the daytime because this will keep your eye shadow in place all day, you don't have to worry about it, you can go straight from day to night without any concerns. Another thing I love about this too is that it helps glide that eye shadow on so much easier onto the eyelid. See that, I'm going to do the other eye, perfect, this is a perfect base for eye shadow. It maintains the integrity of the color and it lasts all day. So here we go this is the finished look and the Aquatique base was a perfect foundation canvas for this eye shadow. This is going to stay all day and there you go, that's how to keep eye shadow from creasing. I'm Kendra Richards. Thanks for watching.
