- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to make your blush stay on longer. Blush instantly wakes up your face and always looks great when you first apply it but then it really tends to fade quickly, especially if you're using a cream blush, it mixes in with the natural oils of your skin and just fades away. The best way to help your blush stay on longer is to use a pressed powder. So today on Ally I'm going to be using Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder and Ally has beautiful fair skin so I'm going to be using the color ivory. So I've already applied some cream blush to Allie's cheeks, just to the apple of her cheeks as you can see and it looks great now but I really want to keep it from fading away so I'm going to put some powder over top of it to seal in the color and I'm just going to use a fluffy brush and just go right over the apples of her cheeks in a circular motion. Pressed powder is the best way to keep all your makeup on longer. It just sets the makeup, takes away any shine but definitely with blush, that's a real common complaint is that it always fades within fifteen minutes of applying it and it's so frustrating because who wants to keep reapplying and reapplying. So using a pressed powder is the simplest way to keep your blush from fading and help it stay on longer. So I'm also going to give Allie just a nice light dusting of this powder just to help the rest of the makeup stay on longer and take away any shine. So there you go, it's that easy and simple to keep your blush from fading and the rest of your makeup as well. So there you have it, that's how you make your blush stay on longer. Thanks for watching. I'm Hilda Levierge.
