- Hi I'm Stevi Christine professional makeup artist. And I'm going to teach you how to apply jewel-toned eye colors. I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Eyeshadow Duo in Charming. So Lauren has beautiful green eyes so I chose this eyeshadow that has a beautiful purple metallic color to it. So I'm going to take this purple gel. I mean Lauren can do a bunch of colors. Bronze would look gorgeous on her eye color. Green also, but purple is definitely going to add intensity to her eyes. And this eyeshadow is highly pigmented so it goes on nice and bold. Follow the eye shape here. The we'll take the light to the inner corner of her eye. That adds a nice dimension to the eye and a nice pop. So the reason I chose the purple jewel tone and there's tons of jewel tones. There's turquoise, there's gorgeous golds. I chose this purple because Lauren has gray on. It's very subtle. I wanted something to pop. So this purple definitely adds the right amount of intensity as you can see. I love to do a jewel-toned eye especially when the outfit is very neutral, grays or black. It just adds a nice pop to the entire look. So this color since it's very intense this is definitely great for a red carpet, a night out with your girlfriends. It's definitely an evening look. So after you're done don't forget to use a light to brighten. You don't want to look exhausted or tired. So if you put too much dark across the eye it's going to make you look a little exhausted or tired. So pop that. After you're done take your concealer again under the eyes. And make sure you keep everything soft. As you can see Lauren has a very soft look, soft cheek and the intensity is all around the eye. And there you go. That's how you create a jewel-toned eye. I'm Stevi Christine, thanks for watching.
