Hi I'm Jessica Liparoto celebrity hairstylist. And today I'm going to show you how to get a zig zag part. So you can use a zig zag part to just dress up any type of hairstyle. A ponytail, you can wear it down and it's very easy. It will take you less then five minutes. To achieve a zig zag part you are just going to need a few simple things. A wide tooth comb, a ponytail holder, and some gel. And the gel we'll be using is the L'Oreal Paris Studio Line Melting Gel. So today we are going to start off by using about a dime size of gel. I'm going to start in the ends, work my way up so it's not too greasy. And so after it's in and saturated we are going to take our wide tooth comb. And since she has a side part going already we are just going to start our zig zag part from here. So you are going to take the tip of your comb, you are going to point in one direction and part the hair. Then you are going to take your comb and go the opposite way. And there you are creating part of the zig zag. And the other way. And the smaller you do the zig zag the more parts you'll have so it can dress it up, dress it down. But we are going to give her more of a bigger part today. Sideways, zig zag the other way. Sideways. All the way until you get to about the crown. It's where I like to stop. And I'm just going to brush all of this back here. And to show off the part a little more I'm going to go ahead and pull her hair into a low ponytail to show off the part line. So just kind of brush it back. You can use your hands and then we'll secure it with an elastic. And that's how you get a zig zag part. I'm Jessica Liparoto thank you for watching.
