- Hi, I'm Jeremy Clark, professional hair stylist and salon owner, and today I'm going to talk to you about how to create hair styles that don't require a blow out. So sometimes your in a rush and you just need to do something to dress your hair up a little bit. And what I like to do is just take a curling iron and do some quick little curls. It kind of dresses up the hair and gives you a look, but it doesn't take very long at all. So what you'll need is a rat tail comb, a large barrel curling iron, and a brushable hair spray. And today I'm going to use the Garnier Fructis flexible control anti humidity hair spray. Just start by spraying some hair spray into the roots of the hair, distributing it through. OK I'm going to take a section at the bottom, and just, a fairly large section. Say maybe a third. And pin the hair up. And just going to take my iron and grab a section that's about two inches or so. And we're going to wrap it around the outside of the barrel. Keeping that end out. And then let it fall. So this is a great way to dress up hair that maybe has a little bit of texture to it, maybe it has that unwanted curl or wave. That little piece that drives you nuts and you can just incorporate that into the wave that we're putting in and actually kind of take advantage of hair that has some texture to it. So you know, a lot of times you're in a hurry and your instinct is to pull the hair back into a ponytail or a quick bun, and that does dress the hair up, but this is another quick little way to give you another weapon in your quiver, so to speak, of the styles that you can do quickly. The placement doesn't have to be very perfect. I'm just taking about two inch wide sections. I am rolling everything back away from the face because I feel like it just dresses the hair up a little more. You could also alternate towards the face and away from the face if you wanted a little more volume and sort of messiness to the hair. OK once you have all the curls set, you just want to lightly go through the ends and kind of break it up so that helps finish the look and as you can see, we've got a lot of style and a lot of body to hair that didn't have a blow dry. There you have it. That's how to do a quick and polished hair style that doesn't requite a blow out. I'm Jeremy Clark, thanks for watching.
