Celebrity hairstylist, David Dang, showing you what hair gels are good for shaggy styles. The shag style has been done for years and I'm going to show you how to get all that texture in there and the texturizer that I'll be using today is L'Oreal Paris Studio Line Out of Bed Texturizer. The shag style has been done and been done and done and done but I'm going to show you the difference between that and having it texturized. As you can see here, we have all this texture in our hair, all over the place and it's very flipped back and it's a really really nice look but to get it more piecy, that more wind blown look then this is what we're going to be doing. We're going to need our blow dryer. We're also going to need our hairspray, so, we're going to spray, spray all over the place and get that lift in there because you can never have enough hairspray, spray and we're going to use our blow dryer to get all the volume that we need and it's all that wonderful volume already, right? And then to texturize it we're just going to use our texturizer. You just need a little bit and then just zuzh it through the hair, give it that nice wave, put it all over, again you need to spread it evenly all over don't concentrate on one section because then that will just start a clump, get it in there, feel it out, don't be scared to ravage it and as you can see, she's already starting to form that nice texture. You can also use a little bit of the gel, the texturizing gel to just get those pieces in the bangs down too, very 90s look that nice like Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington look. She's ready to like walk down the catwalk, has all that nice shag, same thing to the other side or if you want to piece out the ends, take the texturizer again, spread it through the hands and just lift up, lift up, giving it that nice piecy Linda Evangelista look. As you can see, it's pieced out a little bit more and to give her some more volume on top, go head and use your comb if you want to start this, use your comb and just back comb a little bit, just a little bit, give it some more height, bring it down, then all of a sudden she has this Marilyn Monroe kind of thing going on, perfect. Take your texturizer, spread it throughout the hands and then piece it like it's almost like you're conducting a musical, piece it up a little bit, use some hairspray just for hold, not too much and she is texturizing out and there you have it, a couple gel recommendations for a shag hairstyle. David Dang, celebrity hairstylist, I'll see you here next time.
