Hi, I'm Caile Noble, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you a fun modern way to do an updo and how we're going to do that is by continuing the French twist to the very front of the hairline. In order to achieve this look you're going to need a few items consisting of a brush, hairpins, tail comb and hairspray. I'm going to be using the Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray. The first step is going to be brushing all the hair over onto one side of the head like I'm doing here. What you're going to want to focus on is making sure that the hair is nice and sleek to the head creating a really nice shape in this style. Once you have the hair all brushed over like so, you're going to want to grab hairpins and like sutures just run them directly up into the front of the hair. This is going to secure the hair in place and allowing you to move on to the next step of the style. I'm just going to simply grab a hairpin and start going up the middle of the hair, securing the hair in place. You're going to continue doing this until you reach the front of the hairline. At the end of the first step, you should have a result looking like this. So you've got your pins all the way down and the hair is sleek up to the side. Now if you see the other side you'll see that I've actually separated already this into two, just behind the back of the ear. Now what you're going to do is you're going to simply take this lower portion of the hair and start a French twist and you simply do that by just grabbing the hair as you see here and twisting it into place, tuck that in and just start twisting the hair right where you want it. Once you have the hair in place you're going to grab smaller pins to start the bottom of the hair and just start pinning it in place like sutures right up the back. Now your hair should kind of somewhat be in place. You can come back over here and start molding this the way that you want it. If you need to make it a little tighter, just pull the hair over and continue the pinning process. Once you've secured the first half of the twist, you're going to go in and continue the second half by taking that next section and literally just combing it into place. Once you have the hair up there, create another twist at the top tucking any excess hair into the bun. Once you put a couple pins in and lightly secure the second twist in place, you can then go in and kind of reshape the twist and perfect it, combing everything into place as you can see here just like that. And then, going back over and continuing the pinning process. Sometimes you can use a tail comb and using the tail just to create a nice fuller shape in the twist, just keep working it and molding it until you get the look that you like. Now that the shape is taking place, I'm just going to go in and clean up my pinning, not taking them all out but just individually and cleaning up any hair that may need reworked. Once you have it all secure and in place as you can see I've realigned the pins so they're a little cleaner and more uniform then I just go around with my tail comb, tucking anything in that may need to be tucked. Once you feel good about the look, grab your hairspray and I always like to give it a good little spray at the seam of the hair just to kind of give it a little security and then a little in the front and take that tail comb and just pat any flyaways down and into place that may need it. I recently created a look similar to this for a celebrity client of mine and I have to say that recreating the look today reminds me that you can have fun doing updos for any type of occasion whether it be a fun night out with your friends or a special event you may be going to. And that's how you create a fun modern updo. I'm Caile Noble. Thank you for watching.
