- Hi, I'm Caile Noble, Celebrity Hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to fix your hair into a big bun on the top of your head. In order to achieve the look we're going today, you're going to need a few tools on hand. You're going to need a flat brush, tail comb, some pins and hairspray. The hairspray we're going to use today is the Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray. Now, in order to get the look at home in a few easy steps, you're going to want to do the first thing which is flip your head up, brush your hair all into one place and put it into the elastic tie. While you're brushing the hair, make sure that you really pushing it out and making sure that there's no kinks or tags within the hair. That way, it'll lay nice and smooth to the head. Once you have your pony in place, then you can lift your head up. Then, in order to create the big bun on top, you're going to want to take the hair and tease it a little bit. So, simply with your tail comb, go through and and just tease the hair up. I'm teasing the hair so that it actually creates volume within the bun, so the bun will be a little more dramatic and larger. Once you have the ponytail all teased, you're ready to create your large bun. So, just simply twist it around the base of the pony and shape it into the large bun that you desire. Once you have the bun in place, scrub a few of your pins and secure it, as you see me working around, making sure the bun is nice and secure. As you can see when you're trying to create a little bit more of a dramatic look, it's nice that we've teased the ponytail giving the bun an oversize feel, get a little disheveled and undone. Now, to finish off the look, you're going to want to go in with your hairspray and secure off the bun, just set the base. And then, I also like to take my tail comb and go around and grab any fly aways that maybe produced while creating the style. As we're finishing off the look, I want you to note that we did create a little bit more of a textured oversize bun than just a large bun. Now, if you want to have a little bit more of an edgy look at home, then simply tease that ponytail and pin it in place and you too can create an edgy look.
