- Hi I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you what eye shadow you should wear with fuchsia lipstick. When wearing such a strong lip color as fuchsia, you really want to pair down the eyes and really make them subtle, so all your attention is just drawn to your beautiful lip color. So something neutral and natural or even just a nice, metallic tone. So today to complement her beautiful fuchsia lip color, I'm going to be using L'Oreal Paris HiP studio secrets professional metallic eye shadow duo in dynamic. So I've chosen this eye shadow duo because I feel like the color of Zyra's eyes is a really complementary tones just to go with her eyes and her hair color. So want to keep it very neutral so the lips are really the focus of your makeup look. So I'm going to take the lighter tone, I'm just going to apply it with my flat eye shadow brush. I'm just going to apply it all over the lid. Now this is acting as a highlight. So as you can see it's very encasing with the tone of Zyra's hair color. And actually this color really nicely framed her eyes as well. Her eye color. So again because this is a nice light color, you don't have to be too careful where you're applying. Just take it up to the crease line. I'm just going to take, again, a clean blending brush and soften that line a little. This is a great look, taking your day makeup and amping it up for a party or some event in the evening. You can just leave your eyes very natural and just give yourself a really nice pop of color on your lips. So you can already see with just this nice highlight, it's really making her eyes jump out. The green and the blue in her eyes just stand out. But I'd like to just darken it just ever so slightly. So I'm going to give her a little bit of a darker shade in the sockets. I'm just going to really lightly apply some color just along the socket line. I'm just pressing it on just to get a little amount of product in. And again with a clean brush I'm just blending that out. This is just to create a bit of depth and definition to Zyra's eyes. It's not really adding to the color of it, it's just creating a little shade. And we've already prepped Zyra's eyes with a good couple of coats of thickening mascara because you really want your eye lashes to stand out well on this as well. So you can see, it really complements the lip color without distracting from it. So to complement Zyra's lip color, we've gone with a nice, light gold metallic color. And we'll just spread it all over the eye in the style of a smoky eye giving her lashings of mascara, and then just put a little definition in the corners. Equally if you wanted to just pair it down and keep it really simple you could do a really nice, simple black eyeliner and that would work equally as well. So there you have it. There's an eye shadow color that complements fuchsia lips. I'm Tara Shakespeare, thanks for watching.
