- Hi, I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist. Today, I'm going to show you how to do the best eye makeup for a job interview. When thinking about doing your makeup for a job interview, you really want to keep it quite understated and classy. A nice subtle eye with a little bit of cheek, and a very nude lip. Today on Taylor, I'm going to be using L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Metallic Eye Duo in Energized. So to give Taylor a nice, simple eyeshadow look for an interview, I'm going to use this shadow duo. We're going to use the dark color on her sockets, and the lighter color all over her eyelid. So I'm going to start with the lighter. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, I'm just going to take the product all over her eyelid. So, we've already prepped Taylor's eyes with a good case of mascara, and on her eyelids we've also put some foundation and powder, so that the eyeshadow doesn't crease and has longevity. So because this is quite a classical look, we're really going for a very neat, simple warm colors. Just open your eyes. So, just by taking a nice light color over her eyelid, it gives her the base. So then we're going to take a dark color, again with a flat eyeshadow brush, and just put a small amount in the crease. And then I'm going to blend out the color with a clean fat eyeshadow brush. So just keeping it really soft and simple. What I also like to do is take an angled eyeliner brush, and take some of the dark color onto the brush, and then just press it along her eye line. Just right in where the lashes begin. This just intensifies your eyelashes without your makeup being too over-dramatic. And it also will nicely frame her eyes, so when she's talking to somebody, it will all be about the focus on her eyes. Look at me. Cool. When going on job interviews, it's important to present a very put together image, and having clear, neat makeup is just as important as the outfit you wear. And so on Taylor, I've used the eyeshadow duo with a lighter color, we've taken that all over her eyelid to give it a very subtle highlight, and then we've gone deeper into her sockets, just here, and then we've eye lined with the same darker color. And so again, it's something just to draw the focus to her eyes, important for a job interview. And so that's the best eye makeup to wear for a job interview. I'm Tara Shakespeare, thanks for watching.
