- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today we're going to be talking about what eye shadow goes with a bright blush. So if you're going to be wearing a really brightly colored blush, you want to choose an eye shadow that's going to compliment the color of blush instead of take away from it or compete with it. You never want to look too made up and over done like a clown. So today we're going to be using Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eye Shadow in Sunset Seduction. So we're going to take the lightest color out of the four in the palette and we're just going to sweep that all the way across the lid, so right from the root of the lashes all the way up to just under the eyebrow and that's really going to illuminate the eye and just create a little bit of brightness for us so just blend that all the way over the entire lid and then next we're going to take the medium tone and I'm going to put that, I'm going to define the eyes and put that just across the middle portion of the lid, just up to the brow bone. So I don't want to go right here and cover up what we've already done, you want to leave that. And then I'm going to take the darkest brown and that will create another shadow to define the crease. So we're just going to put that shadow right in the crease, all along the crease and then with our darkest color, the brown, I'm going to take an angled brush and use it as a liner and I'm going to do little strokes just along the eyelashes, the root of the eyelashes and that's going to help accentuate the eye shape and make the lashes look a little bit fuller as well. And now what I want to do is take you can either take the medium or the darkest color in this palette, let's just mix them together and just do a little line under the lower lashes and just wiggle the brush really into the lower lashes and then you can take the brightest color, the lightest color and just put that in your tear ducts and that's going to really waken up the eyes and attract light. So on Liz I used the palette, Sunset Seduction, and I chose this because it's pretty neutral colors. It's browns and golds and it's really going to pick up her hazel eyes and the gold flecks in her eyes and it's not going to compete too much with the blush which is really bright and vibrant. So we just want something that's going to compliment the eyes and define them but not take away from the blush and make her look too overdone. So I just used the lightest color in a wash over the entire eyelid. Then I chose the medium color and I put that just in the middle part of the eyes and then in the crease I combined the peachy tone and the goldish tone and I put that under the brow in the crease to define and then I used an angle brush and I made a liner out of the darkest color which is a goldish brown. And I just wiggled that all along the lash line. And then finally just for a little pick me up of the eyes and to help just wake up her eyes and make them sparkle, I took the lightest color and just put that in the tear ducts, just a little dab there and you can even take the excess and just go over what you did right under the brow. So there you have it, this is the best eye makeup to go with a brightly colored blush. Thanks for watching. I'm Hilda Levierge.
