- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to be teaching you how to enhance your eye color. For Liz today I'll be using the Maybelline Expert Eyeshadow Duo in Lasting Lilac. And the reason I chose this color is because it's a really pretty soft, you have a soft purple. And then a little darker one for contour. These like purples and pinks really bring out a hazel eye. So first what we are going to do is we are going to brush the lighter shade over the entire eyelid. So Liz just close your eyes. We are going to sweep it right from the lashes all the way up to under the brow. And this is a really, it looks really pigmented in the package but it's actually going on pretty sheer which is nice. Cause we just want a touch of color. We don't want too much. Just really to illuminate the eyes. The contour is more about the color. Now if you have blue eyes you might want to go for more of a gold color. Purple also looks great on blue. It looks great on brown eyes. It's really universal for most women. Brown eyes I would choose a blue eyeshadow also would be pretty, brown or green eyes. But I'm not a big fan of putting blue eyeshadow with blue eyes. I think we need more of a contrast. So now that we've covered the entire eyelid in the lighter shade we are just going to dip our brush into the darker contour shade and just go right into, right under the brow into that contour there. Contouring your eye like this really shows the shape of them and gives the eye a little bit more definition. I'm actually going to bring this down a little bit here in the outer corner and do almost like a little V. And then if you want to finish your look off with some black eyeliner it's a great way to add even more definition. You can wear this during the day or just turn your face to me. You could wear this during the day or in the evening. Okay open your eyes. That's gorgeous. I think I'm actually going to take the darker color with a smaller eyeliner brush and I'm just going to outline the lower lashes, just look up. Then I'll just add even more definition and really enhance the color of Liz's eyes. And then if you want you can take the lighter color and look up, and just go right into the tear ducts there just to add a little bit of sparkle to your eyes. Wow those are piercing now. That looks beautiful. So there you have it. Using a color can be a great way to enhance the color of you eyes. Thanks for watching I'm Hilda Levierge.
