Hi I'm Caile Noble, celebrity hairstylist and today we're going to show you how to curl your hair using mousse. We've previously washed our model's hair. So what you want to do after cleansing your hair at home is get the excess moisture out of your hair. So I'm going to show you how to do so using a towel and not roughing up the cuticle. You're going to want to go in from the mids down through the ends, just squeezing out any of that excess moisture all the way down to the ends, therefore, it's not dripping wet but still moist. After you've squeezed out the excess moisture from your hair, you're going to want to go in and get your product. Today we're going to be using the Garnier Fructis Curl Construct Mousse. I've sectioned off a portion of the hair here. What you're going to want to do is work this in from the roots through the ends so you get even distribution of the product. Once you have the mousse in your hand, you're going to just want to work it from the roots through the ends like so, going through, section by section, evenly distributing the mousse onto the hair. Once completing your first section with the mousses, take a comb and just kind of comb it through the hair. Once again, evenly distributing the hair with the mousse. Once you've completed the steps and put all the mousse throughout the hair combing it through, give it a light lift just to kind of let the curl kind of bounce back into place. Once doing so, grab your diffuser and start diffusing. One thing that you want to remember though when diffusing the hair is that you don't want to scrunch the hair, you actually just want to softly set it in the diffuser and let it cook. Another thing to remember is at the roots, don't stick the diffuser in there and rough up the hair, actually just grab the hair, lightly lifting it from the head, set the diffuser in place, and let it do its work. This also will allow you to achieve a little root lift instead of being so flat to your head. Now that you have the tip let's diffuse the hair. Another tip to remember while in the process of diffusing the hair, is to actually place your hand softly behind the hair so when you have the diffuser there, it's a good indicator when it gets too hot and you need to move on to the next section. Now the last and final tip that I want to leave you with here today is that when diffusing your own hair at home, it is great to flip the head over and finish off the diffusing process. Now not scrunching the hair, you're just going to lightly set the diffuser into place finishing off any of those ends or dense sections. One thing I want to remind you is that mousse gives your hair memory therefore, you don't need any finishing sprays or hairspray to finish off the style, however, one thing I like to do is get your hands in there at the base of the scalp and just rough it up a little bit, giving it a little volume and a little bounce. That's how you curl hair using mousse. I'm Caile Noble. Thanks for watching.
