Hi, I'm skin care Expert Tracy O'Connor and today, I'm going to show you how to create a regimen for dry skin. So, how do you know if you have dry skin? Well, first off, dry skin frequently feels a little bit rougher to the touch. Dry skin also looks dull and it doesn't have that natural radiance that skin has when its effectively moisturized. Also, dry skin can be more sensitive and prone to irritation and redness. A simple regimen for dry skin should include an oil-based cleanser. It should also include a serum, something that will help deliver hydration deep into the skin cells; a very effective moisturizer that is rich in humectants and emollients. And finally, a sunscreen. A sunscreen is important everyday and regardless of skin type. Now, my model Kristine is very young, but she tends to have a little bit of dryness to her skin on the sides of her cheeks and can get little tiny rough patches over here. And a lot of us experience dry skin on our face here. So, what I'm going to do is show you how using a moisturizer that's very effective can immediately restore hydration to her skin. So on Kristine, we're going to use Aqualia Thermal 24-hour Hydrating Fortifying Lotion by Vichy. You're just going to take about a dime size amount to start and I'm going to go ahead and apply to the four parts of Kristine's face and I'm going to pay special attention to the areas where she has a lot of dryness. I'm going to work the product into her skin. This has shea butter and shea butter is an effective emollient; so, it will help to draw the moisture out of the air and into Kristine's skin cells. So, a lot of us experience dehydration seasonally and most often during the winter time; when you're going in and out of de-controlled buildings, that can dehydrate the skin. And you need to make sure your skin is protected and effectively moisturized. So, shea butter is going to do that and it's perfect for sensitive skin if your skin is experiencing that chapped feeling that it often does when your skin is really dry. This product has hyaluronic acid which is delivering water into the skin as well as shea butter which seals that water into the skin. This product is formulated with micro-encapsulated ingredients so the delivery system is going to work of the course of 24 hours, almost like a sprinkler system, delivering hydration to your skin cells throughout the entire day. And there's nothing more depressing than putting on a moisturizer in the morning and then by mid-day your skin is already dehydrated. Now, this has 24 hour moisturization properties. It delivers the ingredients in a sprinkler like system; they're micro-encapsulated so your skin will be moisturized all day. Okay, now, once you've finished moisturizing, you should look in the mirror and look at your skin. Your skin should be visibly more radiant, but not greasy and it should be softer to the touch and it shouldn't be sticky at all. This moisturizer went right into Kristine's skin and her skin looks glowing and definitely more hydrated. And finally, your diet is really important to the quality of your skin. So, if you're eating fruits and vegetables that have a high water content, that'll also be readily apparent in your skin. And that's how to create a regimen for dry skin. I'm Tracy O'Connor, thanks for watching.
