- Hi my name is Hilda Levierge, and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to be showing you how to create dewy skin. Dewy skins give you the appearance of fresh, healthy looking skin. If you have a really moisturizing foundation, you can create that really youthful dewy look very easily. So today on Ali, I'll be creating a dewy looking skin with Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse. So the key to creating a dewy look to your skin in moisture. And with Maybelline dream smooth foundation, it actually gives you enough moisture for up to 14 hours and it's oil free so it's not going to clog your pores, it's just going to add a really nice texture and moisture to your skin. So first what you want to do is match your shade. The best way to do that is just art your jawline. And the foundation to just blend really seamlessly into your jaw and you're neckline. You never want to look like you're wearing a mask, you just either want it to look like a second skin. Foundation is basically made to just even out your skin tones and not really cover up your skin. You still want your freckles and little texture of your skin to show through. Do that's a perfect math for Ali and I'm going to apply this foundation with a foundation brush. You could also use a sponge or your fingertips. And I'm just going to apply it stroking it on with the brush. And I'm just using my finger to kind of blend it and buff it in. This foundation is so creamy and so hydrating to the skin and that's really what's going to give it that youthful, dewy appearance. Now if you want you could prep the skin with a moisturizer first and that's also going to really help and just glides on really seamlessly and beautifully. It's got a really nice, smooth texture, and you can already see that it's just forgiving a glow rather than a cakey mask like appearance. And this foundation is so nice too because it's lightweight, but it provides a lot of coverage, which is hard to find in a nice, lightweight formula like this mousse. So when you're applying your foundation, you want to just bring it down and blend it into the neck so with the excess amount on your brush or your sponge, just going to bring that down so that everything bends in nicely. You don't want to have any lines, just want a seamless finish. So then you just blend it up into the hairline, make sure everything is nicely smooth and blended. So there you have it.
