- Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist and today I'm going to show you the correct way to do makeup from eyes to lips. One of the best ways to make sure you've got a complete makeup look is to really choose a feature, maybe your eyes, or your lips. Javiana has got gorgeous eyes. I'm going to focus on her eyes today. This is going to be a real quick makeup look that you can do at home in minutes. I'm going to start the look with Artliner in Noir by Lancome and I'm going to start at the outer edge and just gently run it right up against the lash line. Real close. And to keep it natural I'm not going to take it all away into the corner, I'm just taking it to the edge where the lashes begin. Again on the other side. Another really great trick to use is if you just gently tug the eye a little bit with your finger, not a lot. It's delicate skin around the eye, but just pull it a little bit to help elongate on the outer edge, and that will help you get a clean line. And get that liner feathered out. Just wait a moment and try to help speed that up with the drying. Liquid eyeliner can be a little tricky and if you don't have a great applicator like this tip on this applicator is really helpful. It gives such a smooth finish and allows you to get a line that's really seamless and smooth. This is a quick way to really boost your eyes and get noticed quickly. It's real important to make sure you wait about 30 seconds or so, maybe a minute if you feel you need it to let that liner dry before you add the mascara. But the final touch is mascara. Wiggle that right at the base and lift it up and out. Perfect. And then. There you go. That really completes the look. Quick liner and mascara, she's good to go. So to complete the no makeup look, I'm going to use a little dual finish just to hit a couple of spots here on her face that might be a little bit shiny or uneven. We're just going to call attention to the eyes because that's the focus of this face and the look that we're doing here. So really the proper way to apply foundation instead of really covering the whole face is just to treat the areas that you have a little discoloration and it's really meant to even out the skin tone and perfect the skin, but not to be used overall. Just where it's necessary. Since we're focusing on the eyes we're going to use a really beautiful neutral lipstick. I love colors on darker skin that are more in the brown family. This color I selected because it is very similar to the tone in the center, but for lip, it's going to look very natural but at the same time it's going to really add a really nice polish and finish. This will complete the look. And I'm using a lipstick brush. You can go straight from the tube if you like. That is a beautiful polished look. She's got the focus on her eyes, which is a really important tip. It's really important to focus on one part of the face, maybe your eyes or your lips. Either or, not both. And play that up. Whatever feature you really feel like playing up for the day. So there you go. That's the correct way to apply makeup from eyes to lips. I'm Kendra Richards, thanks for watching.
