- Hi, I'm Jeffrey Paul, celebrity makeup artist and today I'm going to show you what color makeup to wear in the Spring. So Springtime comes and you're probably wondering what kind of colors can I wear for makeup. Well, in Springtime, lots of fresh flowers, bright sunshine, things look radiant and you probably want to have that same look on your face. So in choosing a color for lip gloss, you want to choose something that makes your eyes come alive, your cheeks and your skin, make it look fresh and radiant. That's the best way to choose a lip gloss. So the product I'm using today is Shine Sensational lip gloss by Maybelline. It's a beautiful pink or watermelon tone and the flavor is actually watermelon punch. Lip gloss is usually sheer and has a beautiful shine and color. Those are the type of tones you'll want to put on the face to go with the hair or the eyes. I like to start in the center of my lips and move to the outward edges. With lip gloss what's great is any beautiful color you have, since they're transparent, will shine and radiate on the face. I sometimes will add a lip liner to the outside. That will help ensure the lip gloss doesn't run, stays in place and adds another dimension and definition to the lips. In choosing colors, choose colors that look good on your skin. You can be adventurous and try other tones as long as they're sheer and you know you can never make a mistake because lip gloss you can wipe off. With Tracy, I chose this color because I wanted it to look natural, the shine, it looks great, it radiates. It makes her lips like they're glowing and gives her a slight smile but I think she's always smiling. If you're darker skin tone, you could choose colors that have a dark deep berry. Those on the lips will look sheer, flushed and make your skin look radiant. Don't be afraid if there's even like lime colors or bronze colors out there, those are great too. You always experiment and see what it does to the skin. So Tracy's lips now look fuller, more radiant and the shine makes them look very supple.
