- Hi I'm Jhizet Panosian, celebrity makeup artist and today I'm going to show you what lipstick colors go really nicely with red hair and fair skin. For fair skin for a day look I really love peaches and pinks and for night looks I love a matte true red. You really want to stay away from browns and really harsh dark colors because that adds a little bit of muddiness to the skin and it's too much of a contrast against the fair complexion. For a day look I would really like to use a really nice pinky, coraly tone against her fair skin. I'd love to use this rich shade on her if she just had a bare lid and a coat of black mascara and a really fresh skin but because she has such a nice dramatic eye we're actually going to use a really nice peachy nude color. L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Color in a warm nude. So to apply the lipstick I'm actually going to use a lip brush. You can apply it directly on or use a lip brush which I generally like to do and it's just a flat small lip brush and the reason I love using this brush is because it actually just fits in right into the bow of the lip so it kind of does the work for you. You can see it just fits right in there and you want to start with the center of the lip where you want to deposit the most color and work outwards. And as you can see that's already really nicely muting her lip but really tying in with the drama of the eyes. When picking out a nude shade for fair skin and red hair it's really important to pick shades that have either pink or peach undertones because that really warms up the skin and doesn't dull it out and you really want to avoid using a nude that has a very beigy chalky undertone because that's just going to wash out the fair skin and take away any brightness she has to her face. So now that I've finished applying the lipstick I'm going to finish this look with a really pretty peach gloss to really add a little luminance to the skin, just deposit to the center and a little bit to the bow of the mouth and just bring in a little vibrance back to the face.
