- Celebrity hairstylist David Dang showing you how to take care of long curly hair. Having unruly long curly hair has been a problem for a long time. But I'm going to show you how to take care of that with just some easy simple mousse. And the mousse I'll be using is a L'Oreal Paris EverStyle Curl Activating Mousse. Taking care of long curly hair is like David and Goliath trying to battle, you know. So you want to definitely take it and tackle it down. And how to do that is by using some mousse. Now using it on Bianca I use it from mids to ends and this is what I used after she showered and towel dried her hair. She towel dried her hair, combed it out. And then I used it from mids to ends only. And the reason why I do that is because less is more and again it doesn't give that nineties crunch, that nineties neon look that you don't really want. And to protect the ends what I used was a little bit of a serum because she's trying to get through the next haircut. So haircuts are usually from three to four months because you want to keep those nice full layers in here hair. Now as you can see Bianca has really nice full hair. And that's not just because of the undulations of the curls. It's because she has some nice layers going on in there. And now you know from using heat and from using all that you have serums that help. So you want to use a light serum at the ends so it's not that crispy crunch. And usually a nice shampoo or conditioner is used to keep these nice curls in too. You don't really want to use anything that has sulfates or sodium chloride, or parabens out there because you know those are the things that strip the hair. And make it dry, and not friendly, and not user friendly especially when you are trying to curl your hair or blow it out. So again you want to use a nice shampoo or a nice curling conditioner to keep the hair nice and full like what we have here on Bianca. And there you have it. That's how you maintain nice luscious curly locks. This is David Dang celebrity hairstylist and I'll catch you here next time.
