- Hi I'm Jessica Liparoto, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to get a modern day bouffant. So normally when you think of a bouffant, you think of the characters from the movie, "Hairspray" but today I'm going to show you how to modernize this look a little bit using a few simple things like a comb, a brush, a few pins, elastic and some root pump and the root pump that we're going to use today is L'Oreal Paris EverStyle Volume Root Lifting Spray and so to start off with this look we're first going to grab our root lift and we're just going to section off a little piece of hair and you're going to spray it right there in the roots. And we're going to do this all throughout the crown. If you want to get a little bit of an extra lift put this in your hair when it's damp just out of the shower and blow dry it in and it will give you an extra umph. So now that we have all the product in, we're going to kind of just mess it up a little bit and see the volume already happening. Don't be afraid to get in there and just work it in. I'm going to give her a little part and we're going to make a sassy flirty ponytail for her to wear out tonight with the ladies. Okay, So this is where Taylor's natural part starts so we're going to leave that here and now we're going to do some back brushing. So section out a little part of the crown and I like to go in little sections and that way you get the maximum volume and then I'm just going to do this front little piece, just a little bit because this is what's going to cover the rest of the hair. I'm going to drop it to the side and you're going to come back and take another small section and just brush the hair back and drop and you're going to do this all the way down to about a little above the nape of the neck. So now that we've put in a good amount of back brushing, we're just going to lightly go over it and take out some of the frizz. You don't want to brush too hard because we don't want to take out everything we just put in. Alright so you can see the volume already happening here and I'm going to keep mine kind of messy to give it that flirty look. It doesn't have to be perfect, then take my elastic and I'm going to secure it right at the back of her head. And I'm going to grab from underneath two pieces and you can see that and then we're just going to pull in like that and it's going to create a little bit of volume, a little more volume. And this is how you get a modern day bouffant. I'm Jessica Liparoto. Thank you for watching.
