- Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist, and I'm going to show you how to apply eyeshadow for a date. For the eyeshadow I'm going to use the Color Design Five Pan Palette by Lancome in Mauve Cherie. I'm going to apply this shimmery shadow from the base of her lid up. This is normally a highlighter, but I wanted to show how you can use this in another way as well to get a beautiful shimmery eye. It's a pretty flirty look that's so fresh. I'm going to extend it into the corner which helps brighten and illuminate the eye area as well and then I'm going to feather it up into the brow, but the bulk of the color is down here at the base. Then next I'm going to take this medium shade and use this just as a slight little bit of definition in the outer corner of the eye. I'm just tapping this in a little bit right here and then I'm going to blend in. Just blend in 'cause that helps soften the lines. I don't want to see that there's a distinct line between the colors, but I want it to be a very soft look. I'm going to turn you that way. Perfect and go ahead and look down again. Great. Again, just right in that little, I'm just going to apply this in the outer edge and work it in. Just take a peak at that. That's pretty. That gives just a little bit of definition to this look but keeps that soft, fresh, shimmery effect overall. As the final step I'm going to use this darkest shadow as an eyeliner. So I just want a smoky eye on this I don't want a highly defined liner so I'm putting that eyeliner on with a brush and then smudging it out gently with a little smudging brush. Let me take a look at you. That's great. That adds definition, but it doesn't have a harsh line. Gonna do that underneath as well. Go ahead and look all the way up. Great. This is a really pretty dramatic look that is softened by blending out with the brush. This beautiful shimmery eye that I put on Katherine is not overdone but it's really high impact. It's perfect for a date. It's perfect for a night out. You've got high impact and you've got a great look without a lot of makeup on. Well there you go. This is how to apply eye makeup for a date. I'm Kendra Richards. Thanks for watching.
