- Hi, I'm Tara Shakespeare, celebrity makeup artist and today I'm going to show you how to apply makeup for small eyes. So a great way to open up smaller eyes is with a light eyeshadow. You apply it to the corners. So just in the inner corner here, along the brow bone and across the upper lid and this way it'll really highlight the, the lighter areas of your eye and really make them jump out and stand out. You can also use eyeliner and if you take the eyeliner along the upper lid, so just really close to the eye line to the lash line, this will create really nice definition and really draw the focus to your eyes making them appear bigger. So to create the eyeliner look on Alina I'm going to use L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner in Carbon Black. So to start with on Alina I'm going to just highlight areas of her eyes just to make them open before I apply the eyeliner. So I'm using a light-toned eyeshadow and a flat eyeshadow brush and close your eyes, so I'm just going to take the product in the corner here, across her eyelid and then on her brow bone just here. This is really just to open up the highlighted areas already. Then I'm just going to, if you just look up for me, so it's important to highlight this inner corner 'cause that really make a difference on opening up your eyes. Just going to do the same with the other eye. Close your eyes. So again, just a nice amount in the corner. You don't have to be too accurate 'cause it's quite a light color. And take it across the eyelid and on her brow bone. It's all about creating definition and and highlighted areas. So just open. You can see that's already really opened Alina's eyes up. Then I'll going to take the eyeliner pencil and just using the product because it's a twisty product, I'm just going to draw a line across her eyelid, keeping it really close to her eyelashes. Again, you don't have to be too accurate. You can just get it in there. Make sure that you start right at the roots though, 'cause you don't want any space between the eyeliner or your lash line. Now I'm taking a small smudging brush and I'm just going to blend this. Just to soften the edges. See so blend in a back and forth motion just taking the product up. Open. So you can see, if you can see the difference between two of, the two eyes. This one already appears much more open and defined. So I'm just going to do the same on the other eye. So as you can see I've highlighted Alina's eyes by applying some shadow just to the inner corners, her lid line and also the brow line and then I've taken the Infallible eyeliner and we've just created a really soft line along her eyelashes. Just along the top, keeping it really close to the lash line. Then she's ready for some mascara. So there you have it. That's how to apply makeup for small eyes. I'm Tara Shakespeare. Thanks for watching.
