Hi my name is Hilda Levierge and I'm a professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to apply concealer for dark circles. If you have dark circles, applying concealer can be tricky because you never want to draw attention to any fine lines you might have. Concealer can tend to cake up around the eyes and actually draw more attention to your circles so you really need to know how to apply your concealer properly so that you're going to just provide some light into the darkness and just smooth out any fine lines or texture that you might have under there and make it just look even and bright under your eyes. So today on Allie I'm going to be using Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer. So the best way to apply concealer you could use it right from the tube but on Allie I'm going to be using my ring finger to apply it. So you just dip in to the product and the reason I use my ring finger is because it actually provides the lightest touch and the skin under the eyes is very delicate and it's thinner than the skin on the rest of your face so you have to be careful with it. Now you just want to pat, not rub into the inner corner of the eye. A lot of people forget that area but darkness does tend to show up there so just pat the product into the inner corner of the eye and just come down just right under the eyelash and under the lower lashes. This area right here I'm not going to touch. The concentration of the product I'm just going to pat right in the inner corner of the eye and just coming down just covering up that little bit of darkness and then another trick that I like to use is to actually put concealer just in an upward motion just right at the corner of your eye. A lot of people tend to get a little bit of discoloration there from our tears if our eyes are irritated or watering, over time that's going to cause a little bit of a redness there. So this is a great way to just perk up the eyes and add some light there. Concealer can also act as a really great base for eye shadow, just close your eyes Allie. So you can just go ahead and put a little bit on the top of your eyes too and that is going to cover any sort of discoloration or little veins that start to show through if you have uneven skin tone on your eyelids which a lot of people have because the skin is so thin there that the little veins tend to show through and over time you get a little bit of discoloration there. So concealer is a great way to just brighten up that area and even everything out and the texture of this concealer is so nice because it's really creamy so it's really moisturizing, it's not going to be drying and cakey. That's the problem when you have dark circles is people tend to just build and build and build and put more and more concealer on in an attempt to get rid of the dark circles but that tends to just make it look even worse because it gets cakier and starts to get into any creases or fine lines that you might have and what's nice about this concealer is it's really buildable. The texture is really light so you can really just build on it for the amount of coverage that you need. So there you go, that's the best way to apply concealer to cover dark circles. Thanks for watching. I'm Hilda Levierge.
