Fragrance
The YSL Paris collection features top notes of bergamot, violet, geranium, rose and iris. Rose and violet make the most immediate impact on the nose. Middle notes include lily, lily-of-the-valley and violet. Base notes such as sandalwood and orris round out this scent with woody, herbal aromas. Additional fragrance notes include nasturtia, hyacinth, hawthorn, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lime blossom, amber and oakmoss. Because YSL Paris is balanced, you won't be able to distinguish all the notes that make up this signature scent.
Appearance
Paris soap weighs 100 grams -- roughly 3.5 ounces and has a rounded shape with cut edges. A pearlized pink container etched with "YSL Paris" protects the soap and may also be used as a soap dish or soap container. The pre-wrapped soap is milky white or cream in color and produces a thick, creamy lather. YSL Paris moisturizes while it cleans, so your hands don't dry out. Traces of the rich aroma remain on your hands, giving subtle fragrance.
Origins
Yves Saint Laurent developed the Paris collection in 1983. Marketed as "Yves Saint Laurent’s tribute to the city and to women in love," Paris combines light florals and woody fragrances. The Paris collection aims to evoke feelings of romance, elegance and simple charm.
