Scarves are one of the most versatile accessories any woman can have in her closet. When you want a quick way to add the perfect finishing touch to any outfit, it's a pretty scarf you can always turn to. Maybe you want to use it as a hair accessory, and if that's the case, a bun head wrap is a lovely style you can try.
Open a scarf up all the way, holding one end in one hand and the other in your opposite hand. A long rectangular scarf works best.
Lay the scarf over your head so the center of one long end of the scarf is over the top of your head. The material should lie just in front of the start of your hairline at the front of your head.
Pull the loose fabric together at the back of your head as though you were making a ponytail, making sure the fabric at front stays taut across the front of your head. For a proper head wrap, all of your hair needs to be completely covered.
Twist the fabric clockwise or counter-clockwise, whatever your fancy, until you have a bit of tension.
Wrap the fabric around a bit to create a loop and pull the ends of the scarf up through this loop, then pull it up snugly against the back of your head to create a knot.
Wrap the tail end of the fabric around this knot, and continue wrapping until you have just a bit of the ends left.
Tuck the very ends of the scarf in underneath the bun wrap to get them out of the way and hold the wrap in place. Easier than you thought, right?
To add a bit of pizazz to your look, which is especially nice sometimes if you're using a plain colored scarf, pin on a decorative brooch to the side of your head wrap after styling it. It's a quick and really easy way to add a lovely finishing touch to your look.
