Whether your hair is curly or wavy, getting that "wet look" is a great alternative to a perfectly in-place hairstyle. Wet looks can be achieved on, well, wet hair, though you'll need hair gel to keep your hair looking "wet" as it dries through the day. Several makers offer hair gel for this purpose. All of these will help your hair to look stylish and moisturized throughout the day.

1.

Remove old products from your hair by using a clarifying shampoo. Since these products can be drying on your hair, it is important to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner.

2.

Blot excess water from your hair using a towel, but do not dry your hair too much, as this can leave your wet look looking dry. Additionally, be sure to move the towel in a downward motion throughout your hair, not a tousling motion, to prevent frizzies in your wet look.

3.

Remove tangles from your hair by comb or brushing it through from root to tip.

4.

Apply a generous amount of the hair gel to your hair, rubbing it into your hands and running it throughout your hair from root to tip.

5.

Get stylin' by flipping your hair over slightly and scrunching your hair in between your fingers if you have wavier hair. This will help to set your wet look style and keep it looking neat, rather than just wet. If you have curlier hair, pull your curls out away from your head to define and separate them from one another. Style your hair down or in a ponytail as you wish to complete your wet look.
