Adding a timeless, classic piece like a trench coat to your wardrobe is always a great investment. Although there are endless colors and styles to choose from, your goal should be to choose a coat that best shows off your petite figure and creates more of a curvalicious, hourglass figure. Look for a trench in a bold color. As a petite woman, you have a lot more freedom with brighter, bolder hues that are going to draw attention to your small frame. Although bold patterns may be some women's worst nightmare, as a petite girl your options are pretty much endless in terms of color and pattern. Choose a trench in a slim, fitted shape. A coat that is too large, or has fancy details like a bubbled hem or padded, studded shoulders, can overwhelm a petite frame. You want to wear your coat, not end up having your coat wearing you.
