Think leopard print heels are hopelessly casual? Fashion designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal confessed to "Harper's Bazaar" that she wore a pair under her wedding dress. And they sure seem to be making a lot of appearances on the red carpet these days. So while you might not want to wear your pretty spotted pumps to the office, just about anything else goes.
Leopard print heels add a dash of delicious danger to any casual outfit. Skinny jeans, in denim or leather, and leggings are particularly nice matches. Miniskirts are another possibility. Go full rocker-chic with a black band T-shirt and cropped leather jacket up top, or mix it up a bit with a white cotton blouse instead.
Generally speaking, it's good to be wary of making your outfit too matchy-matchy. But animal prints are a good place to break this rule. Don't go overboard, though. Pick one other leopard-print accessory or fashion detail, like a clutch, belt or the faux fur collar on your coat.
A little black dress accentuated by a bold pair of heels is always an eye-catching look. Just keep your other accessories to a minimum and the lines of your dress sharp and simple.
Leopard print heels also complement taupe and brown shades nicely. A camel coat, some gold jewelry, and brown hose or tights look both sophisticated and a little bit naughty. Rihanna once paired a pair of tan silk pants and a sailor-style black sleeveless top with a pair of Christain Louboutin leopard pumps.
