How to Wear a Headpiece

Overview

Wearing a headpiece is similar to putting on a crown or tiara. It is a pretty little adornment to your hairstyle that contains jewels, flowers and other decorations. It adds a touch of class to even the most casual outfit. Celebs such as Nicole Ritchie and Mischa Barton have been known to wear headpieces from time to time. If you want to add this cute accoutrement to your assortment of accessories, make sure you know how to wear one.

1.

Part your hair in front to make a bang (about an inch or two deep) and comb the rest of the hair straight back. If you want you can use a blow dryer on warm as you lift the hair slightly and comb it back, just to give it a little volume.

2.

Pin your bang to one side with a bobby pin, just for a few moments.

3.

Pull the headpiece over the area right behind your part. Remove your bang from the pin, hold it for a moment and then loop the end under the headpiece, too. The piece helps keep your bang in place, swept to the side. But if necessary, keep the bobby pin back in your hair.

4.

Adjust the headpiece as needed, then spray your hair with a few spritzes of holding spray before you go on your merry way.
