Your gray sweater goes with tons of different things -- yes, really! In fact, because gray is a neutral shade, it works with just about any color. And, as the sweater is a pretty basic piece, you can transform it into tons of different fantastic looks. So relax and have fun with your wardrobe, and learn how to make your gray sweater look fab.
Wear It to Work
If you have a gray sweater that you love and want to incorporate into all aspects of your wardrobe, try wearing it to work. Just pair it with a great pair of slacks. Tan is always a fantastic option to go with gray. Stay on trend in a loose-fitting, wide-leg pair. Then add a fitted gray sweater or throw on a chunky gray cardigan. Heels are a must here, so slip them on to top off your look.
Over a Dress
Turn your dress into a chic little skirt by throwing a gray sweater on over it. This looks especially cool with floral, feminine frocks. It also looks amazing when paired with a brightly colored dress, creating a cool contrast of bright and muted colors. If you want to show off more of your dress, opt for a cardigan that you can leave unbuttoned.
With Leggings
Be forewarned: If you want to wear your gray sweater with leggings, it should be long enough to cover your bum. Leggings aren't pants, ladies, so please don't pretend that they are. If your sweater isn't long enough, no problem. Switch out your leggings for skinny jeans. Get the feel of leggings by opting for super stretchy jeggings -- a hybrid of jeans and leggings. Add a cute boot and you're good to go.
Under a Blazer
Wearing a sweater under a blazer can look totally chic, as long as you stick with a fitted sweater to avoid bulk. Try a boyfriend blazer that'll have a looser fit and give your sweater more room to breathe. Gray on gray looks fantastic. So does a black blazer with your gray sweater. If you want to get a little brighter, slip on a colorful jacket. Think fuchsias, teals and vibrant oranges to really spice up your look.
