When you're going out on a lunch date with someone new, you want to look your best but also impress your new love interest with flair. Since you're going out to lunch and not a dinner date, you're safe keeping your look daytime sexy, which means not looking as if you're going to a nightclub. There's plenty of fashionable ensembles to make your date go gaga during the lunch rush.
Little Not-So Black Dress
The little black dress is a favorite because it's appropriate for just about any affair and is flattering. But for your daytime date, you don't want to appear overdressed, especially if you're simply going to the darling little bistro between the copy shop and post office. Opt for a light jersey dress in a playful color such as white, green or beige. Pair with a belt around your waist to accentuate your waistline and pair with a stiletto pump like an animal print or bold bright color. Carry a small wristlet clutch to downsize on the clutter for carefree style.
Enjoy a casual lunch striking up stimulating conversation when you feel sexy and sophisticated in your beloved jeans. Squeeze into your favorite dark-wash skinny jeans to start. Choose either a flat cuff sandal to expose perfectly manicured toes or a high peep-toe heel. Complete your look with a cap-sleeved center ruffle blouse that's close at your waist and flairs at the hip. Leave the top button or two open to expose long layered necklaces such as an owl piece or feathers. Tuck a razor thin change purse into your back pocket for hands-free access to playfully tap your date on the arm.
Separate but Equal
If you're battling your busy work schedule with your dating lifestyle, plan ahead for a fabulous date where you're a little better dressed than your cube-mate with work-friendly separates. Slip on a tan hip-hugging knee-length pencil skirt with a simple V-neck fitted tee in a color that complements your skin tone, drawing attention to your eyes. Try purple, magenta or teal tops. Wrap a thin belt in gold or pewter around the top of the skirt and pair with gold rhinestone closed-toe pumps. Pull your hair back in a sexy, messy ponytail and accessorize with silver ball earrings.
Simple as Pie
If your date plans are last minute or you run out of time to change, work with what you have. A quick switch from whatever you have on can include swapping out a pair of shoes, pulling your hair up and wearing several bold accessories or putting on a sweater and a belt. Toss a blazer over a white tank top and jeans and ditch the flips-flops for a pair of black flats. Feel comfortable in what you have on so you enjoy your date and aren't worrying about if you're dressed appropriately.
