Overview
Cameo brooches date back centuries. They're an accessory that you can be pair with virtually anything to give yourself a preppier, more conservative vibe. Popular in the Victorian era, cameo brooches are available in scores of antique shops and online in all price points. Your grandmother may have one laying around, too. Pin this simple brooch to different pieces to add a classic element seldom seen in today's fashion.
1.
Open up the brooch at the back and make sure you know how the mechanism works. Most brooch pins have a mechanism that turns back and forth to release the pin and keep it in place.
2.
Put on your blazer and stand in front of the mirror with your brooch open.
3.
Place the sharp pin at the back of the brooch in the lapel of your blazer. Poke it in and then up through the lapel so the sharp point is sticking out the front of the lapel.
4.
Close the brooch and check it out in the mirror. Re-pin if it isn't straight or positioned the way you want. You might have to do it more than once to get it just right.
