A blazer is like a suit jacket's kid sister: cuter, less grown-up and definitely more likely to get into trouble. While you can certainly dress up your blazer for a day at the office or a job interview, you can also dress it down for a day with friends or a casual date. If it's cool out, your blazer can act as your top, but if it's on the warm side, wear your blazer as your jacket and be prepared to take it off if you get too hot.
Choose a T-shirt to go under your blazer, as opposed to a fancy blouse or button-down shirt, to avoid the office-appropriate look. Go for a sweet, embellished tee for a pretty, feminine look or a grungier T-shirt for a rocker-chic vibe.
Pull on a pair of jeans or cut-off jean shorts to keep your look casual and cute. A skirt or dress will up the blazer from casual to semi-dressy, so avoid these and stick to pants that you like.
Finish the look with a pair of shoes that suits your style: either sneakers such as high-tops for a heavier look or delicate ballet flats for a girly outfit. If it's winter, boots can also work, but avoid heels to keep the look low-key.
Leave the blazer open to show off your shirt and keep it casual, or button it up and add a scarf for more warmth.
As long as your outfit is casual, you can accessorize with blinging jewelry without fear of being too dressed up, so add your own necklaces, bracelets and rings to the mix!
